Every property sold eventually needs to be managed — rented, maintained, and kept generating value for its owner. Property management is one of the most consistent, recurring-revenue paths in real estate, yet it’s routinely treated as an afterthought by agents focused only on transactions. This course treats it as what it actually is: a distinct professional discipline with its own systems, obligations, and skill set.

Over four weeks, you’ll build the practical management skillset: tenant sourcing and screening, lease structuring appropriate to the Nigerian rental market, maintenance and vendor coordination, rent collection and arrears handling, and the legal obligations that protect both landlord and tenant. You’ll finish able to run a small portfolio of managed properties professionally, systematically, and profitably.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Source and screen prospective tenants using a structured, defensible process
• Draft and explain tenancy agreements appropriate to Nigerian rental law and practice
• Set up a maintenance and vendor coordination system for a managed property or portfolio
• Manage rent collection, arrears, and difficult tenant situations professionally
• Explain landlord and tenant legal obligations, including notice periods and eviction procedure
• Structure a property management service offering, including fee models and client reporting
